# AI Visibility Self-Check — how ready is your business? | UpgradePro

> A free, honest 2-minute self-check. Answer eight questions and get a transparent readiness score for whether AI assistants can find and recommend your business.

## How ready is your business to be recommended by AI?

Eight quick questions, about two minutes. You get a transparent readiness score and a plain-language read on where to start — no email required.

This is a self-assessment based on your own answers, not a measurement of your actual AI visibility. Real measurement means sampling how the assistants answer, repeatedly and over time. This tells you where to look first.

Answer honestly — the score is only useful if the inputs are. (Yes · Somewhat · No / not sure)

1. Could a stranger describe what your business does in one sentence after reading your homepage?
2. Do your pages state concrete facts — what you offer, where, for whom — rather than vague slogans?
3. Is your company described the same way across your website, profiles and any listings?
4. Do reputable third-party sources mention your business by name?
5. Do you publish content that answers the real questions your buyers ask?
6. Does your website load fast and work cleanly on mobile?
7. Is there structured, machine-readable information about your business online?
8. Have you actually checked how ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity describe you today?

## Your readiness score

- 0–40 out of 100: **Largely invisible** — Right now, AI assistants have little clear, trustworthy information to recommend you with. The upside: this is the most fixable position, and small foundations move it quickly.
- 41–70 out of 100: **Emerging** — You have real foundations, with clear gaps. Closing the weakest areas below is where the fastest gains are.
- 71–100 out of 100: **Well positioned** — You are in good shape. The work now is to hold and extend your position as the assistants keep changing — and to measure it properly.

## Where to focus first

- **Could a stranger describe what your business does in one sentence after reading your homepage?** Make your homepage state plainly what you do, for whom and where. Clarity is the raw material AI works with.
- **Do your pages state concrete facts — what you offer, where, for whom — rather than vague slogans?** Replace slogans with specific, checkable facts. Assistants extract facts, not vibes.
- **Is your company described the same way across your website, profiles and any listings?** Align your name, focus and location everywhere. Inconsistent facts turn you into noise.
- **Do reputable third-party sources mention your business by name?** Earn honest mentions from sources AI already trusts. This is what makes recommending you feel safe.
- **Do you publish content that answers the real questions your buyers ask?** Answer buyer questions in clear, quotable content. It is the format assistants cite most.
- **Does your website load fast and work cleanly on mobile?** Fast, clean pages are easier for both search engines and AI to read. Technical clarity matters.
- **Is there structured, machine-readable information about your business online?** Add machine-readable facts (structured data) so assistants extract the right information.
- **Have you actually checked how ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity describe you today?** Ask the assistants your buyers’ questions and read the answers. You cannot improve what you have never looked at.

## Want the rigorous version?

A self-check points the way. We measure how the assistants actually describe and recommend you, then do the work — and publish no number we can’t show you.
